Real change begins in the mind. Through workshops, rallies, street plays and campaigns, ASMITA awakens slum communities to gender equality, child rights, and the constitutional values that make every person count.
Laws and schemes mean little until people know their rights and claim them.
In the communities we serve, harmful norms run deep — child marriage, gender discrimination, and the silence that lets injustice continue. Many families are unaware of the rights and protections that are theirs by law.
ASMITA's social awareness work confronts this directly. Through gender workshops, Women's Day programs, anti-drug and anti–child-marriage rallies, street plays and campaigns, we spark conversation and change minds.
We help adolescent girls find the voice to refuse early marriage, support women to know and claim their rights, and root the whole community in constitutional values — equality, dignity and justice for all.

Gender Equality & Women Empowerment

Child Rights & Anti-Child-Marriage
ProtectionChild marriage remains a serious threat, especially for adolescent girls. We run awareness campaigns and empower girls to refuse and report it.

Elderly Care — Widow's Mite
Caring for EldersOur Widow's Mite initiative carries ASMITA's care to the elderly and widows of the community — among the most overlooked. We offer companionship, support and dignity in their later years.
From small acts of care to help accessing pensions, health services and entitlements, we make sure no elder is left alone. The spirit of the Widow's Mite — that even the smallest gift, given with love, matters most — guides this work. [Details to be expanded.]
